The Indianapolis Speedrome kicked off our Friday
night racing series with a feisty crew of racers running for five
championship series. Early evening rains failed to dampen the action
or spirits of the action-ready racers.

The three time defending
Supermodified Champion Billy George wins the opener. Billy
made a late race pass of early leader Max Olmsted to go onto
to win the 50 Lap main event.
Defending champion Billy George
continued his winning ways by capturing the 50-Lap main event.
Racing sophomore Max Olmsted started up front and led the
first 42 laps until fading tires gave George the opening to
take the win. Veteran R. J. Norton, Jr. snuck around Olmsted 4
laps later but was unable to stop the Carmel Sod Farm machine
of George. Rob McCalister, Jr. and Billy Boyer rounded out the
top five. Norton began the night with fast time with the
trophy dash going to Ray Evert and heat wins to Charlie
Hargraves and Joe Thurman. |

Kerry Wright wins Outlaw Stock
Oval Feature. Kerry is your points leader in the Chuck's Race
Car Parts Outlaw Stock division. Kerry wins his second oval
feature of the year for Angels Salon and car owner Tony
Grossey
Kerry Wright proved himself top
dog again as he bested a hard-charging Jimmy Kirby in the
Outlaw Stock 25-Lap Oval Feature. Former champion Brian
Luttrell and crafty veterans Greg Snow and Oza Hoosier rounded
out the top five. Louisville, KY's Jerry Newkirk traveled
north for a disappointing early out with a flat tire.

Corey Turner wins Outlaw Stock 25
Lap Figure 8 for Dad Danny and brother and crew chief Chris
Turner. Corey dominated the Friday Night opener for Outlaw
Stocks on the eight. He won easily over veteran Jack Smith
and points leader Kerry Wright. In the
25-Lap Figure-8 it was Corey Turner dominating from the
opening laps to win over crafty veteran Jack Smith. A
hard-fought battle for the final top five saw Wright
triumphing over Newkirk and Oza Hoosier. |

Monroe May a Roadrunner Rookie
wins his first feature of his career. Monroe May with help
from former Roadrunner Champion Danny Dotson drove to victory
as a rookie in Roadrunners.
The Roadrunners mounted their
typical assault on the racing nerves as a wild feature crowned
a new winner. Young rookie Monroe May packed a big punch to
beat the pack in the 20-Lap main. Donnie Wild, Shawn Eastridge
and Barry Coy picked up wins in the preliminaries. |

Michael George shared a heat win with Camhi. |
