TURNER SWEEPS STOCKS, TIM GEORGE NAILS MODS

ALL-PHASE LANDSCAPING SUPERMODIFIEDS

Eleven winners in eleven races for the All-Phase Landscaping SuperModifieds as Tim George charged from the pole and never looked back in the 35-Lap Main. Johnny Hargraves and Max Olmsted hounded him throughout but had to settle for second and third. Chad Warweg and Charlie Hargraves rounded out the top five with points leader Billy George mired tenth in the pack. Tim George set fast time with Charlie Hargraves tops for the Hutchison Signs Trophy Dash and Rob McCalister, Sr. and Bob Higgins snagging the heat races.

Scott Tabor proved once again that leading the most laps isn't as important as leading the last one. Tabor took over the front spot after early leader Steve Grubbs dropped out with a flat tire. Bill McLain was bridesmaid yet again with Jeff Kowell, Kevin Smith and John Collins in the parade. Heat wins went to McLain and Grubbs while points leader Robert Buskirk struggled to run with the top dogs and settled for a sixth in the main

The Speedrome Bomber Figure-8 cars proved the wildest yet again with points leader Barry Tabor keeping his cool and winning after the early leaders took themselves and others out of contention. Veteran Jerry Green was second followed by Jeff Smith, Buddy Tabor and Nick Moore in his first race. Herb Carson topped his heat race but saw the black flag in the main

CHUCK'S RACE CAR PARTS OUTLAW STOCKS - 

Corey Turner brought out the broom as he swept both features in the Chuck's Race Car Parts Outlaw Stocks. The 25-Lap Oval run saw rookie Dusty Hunt lead the first two laps from the pole until being overtaken by the championship pack of Turner, points leader Kerry Wright and former champ Jimmy Kirby. Kirby eventually got around Wright for the runner-up spot with Al Fullenkamp and Ricky Amos further back. The 15-Lap Figure-8 looked to be Al Fullenkamp' s show with Kirby hard on his tail until the two touched going for the checkered and Fullenkamp was out with Kirby limping home. Turner inherited the win followed by Wright, Kirby, Amos and Hunt. Wright was fastest in the Time Trials and shared heat wins with Hunt.

Mike Smith, Sr. brought his new Hornet to the track just for fun and to beat his boy, Mike Jr. The veteran father beat the boy in a big way and topped the feature in a "rental" after his new ride developed some bugs in practice. Points leader Michael George chased him to the line with Michael Gross right behind for third followed by Jim and Danny Carson. Qualifying races went to Smith, Tom Courtney, Larry Patrick and Rob Hurt
