100-LAP OVAL FEATURE -

Kerry Wright has been the top dog in the Chuck's Race Car Parts Outlaw Stocks since opening weekend. Past champions and new heroes have all tried to best him on the track and in the garage. Sometimes they've run with him but too often this season they were found wanting. Saturday night was no different as Wright clinched the 2003 championship with a win in the 7th Annual Kenny's Auto Sales 100. Corey Turner led the opening sixty-eight laps from the pole only to see his chances dashed when he connected with David Radcliff who was trying to get back on the lead lap after encountering problems early. Both cars were out with damage and Wright inherited the lead and the win. Ken Casto, in only his second race night of the season was a few lengths behind followed by Rick Gillespie as the last car on the lead lap. Jimmy Kirby was fastest in the qualifying and won the Last Chance Race to make the 100.
