Charlie Hargraves wins the Hutchison Signs Trophy Dash

HEAT RACE WINNERS - Cynthia Sizemore, Bob Higgins

Johnny Hargraves made it "13 races, 12 faces" as he became the season's first repeat feature winner in the All-Phase Landscaping SuperModifieds. The series' points leader took control of the field on the opening laps and held off three-time defending champion Billy George plus the field. Cynthia Sizemore came home second followed by Joe Thurman, Rob McCalister, Sr. and George who fell back after getting loose and spinning late in the race. Tim George was fastest in qualifying with heat wins going to Billy George, Sizemore and Bob Higgins.

HEAT RACE WINNERS - Bill McLain, Robert Buskirk

Steve Grubbs has fought the Speedrome stock car wars for several seasons with the wins few and far between. Friday night racing was good to the carpet layer as he triumphed in the 20-lap Sunshine Cafe Roadrunner main. Bill McLain was bridesmaid yet again, chased by championship contender Robert Buskirk, Ricky Martin and John Collins. McLain and Buskirk claimed the qualifying races with points leader Scott Tabor not in attendance

Barry Tabor took a tight stranglehold on the Bomber Figure-8 points championship with a victory in their 15-Lap finale. While other racers scrapped and settled their differences Tabor and Mike Fischer headed for the checkers. Herb Carson was third followed by Chris Linkous, and Buddy Tabor. Jeff Smith took the qualifying race earlier in the evening.

HEAT RACE WINNERS - Al Fullenkamp, Ricky Amos

Al Fullenkamp found his way back to the winner's circle of the Chuck's Race Car Parts Outlaw Stocks 25-Lap Oval Feature. "Big Al" held off Ricky Amos and Brian Luttrell for the win. Points leader Kerry Wright took the 15-Lap Figure-8 main for the production cars over a charging Jimmy Kirby and Corey Turner. Wright was fastest in the time trials with Fullenkamp claiming the qualifying race.

SPEEDROME HORNETS -

HEAT RACE WINNERS - Bryan Pierce, Danny Carson, Claude Hopper, R.J. Norton III

Rob Hurt has been the hottest racer in the hottest car of late in the Speedrome Hornet division. Hurt topped the 20-Lap "A" Main after a last lap tangle got him around Darrell Absher with Tom Courtney right behind in third. Points leader Michael George struggled through traffic to a sixth-place finish. Over 30 cars in attendance meant the addition of a 10-Lap "B" feature where Terry Gunn was tops over Larry Patrick and Shorty Gross. Heat races went to Bryan Pierce, Danny Carson, Claude Hopper and R.J. Norton III.
