Location
802 South Kitley Avenue   Indianapolis, Ind. 46219

The Indianapolis Speedrome Speedway is at the intersection of Brookville Road and Kitley Avenue on the east side of Indianapolis. If you pass the Visteon factory, the Navistar factory or spot a vegetable and fruit stand, you're near the Speedrome.

Note for those driving to the track: one of the most popular approaches to the Speedrome, on I-70 from the east, may be slow because of major construction at the interchange with I-465 and Shadeland Avenue on the east side of Marion County.

From the west on surface streets: take eastbound Washington Street to Kitley Avenue. Landmarks at the corner are the Firestone store on the left and the U-Haul store on the right. Turn right at the intersection onto Kitley Avenue and head one mile south to the track. Or: eastbound English Avenue becomes Brookville Road just west of the Navistar factory. It's one mile from the Navistar factory to the Speedrome.

From the east on surface streets: on westbound Washington Street, look for the Firestone store on the right and the U-Haul store on the left. Turn left to head south on Kitley Avenue to the Speedrome.

From the north on surface streets, Shadeland Avenue leads to the English Avenue exit - the Visteon plant on the right is your landmark. Turn left at the exit and head westbound on English Avenue to Kitley Avenue, then turn left to head to the track.

From the south on surface streets, take Arlington Avenue to Brookville Road, then turn right and head east to Kitley Avenue and the Speedrome.

New: after a September 2001 road crash where a semi driver tried to beat a train across the CSX tracks north of the Speedrome and lost (the trailer was cut in half by the train), railroad crossing lights and  cross arms were installed at the crossing in March of 2002, just before the track opened for pre-season practice. Fans and racers need to be aware that they'll get the extra safety warning when they approach the Speedrome from the north.
